The investor I work with has been in the business for 40 years, focussing on smallcaps. This amounts to over 10,000 investments, out of this roughly 700 listed on the TSX(-V) or the ASX.
I personally am involved in this business since 2018 and always had this one question:
“Why do all of these companies spend their money the way they do, not following marketing best-practices?” We couldn´t find an answer to this, except that it´s harder to measure. In the following I´ll explain, what we´ve started doing for some of the portfolio companies.
The “sales-funnel” for getting new investors
Getting and keeping investors is some form of sales and marketing. Therefore, it should be approach like this. The following is the exemplary sales funnel for third-party services showcasing your company.
